Fifth Avenue 3BR

The primary design objective was to create an open living environment that would accommodate the owner’s daily lifestyle yet function for entertaining without reconfiguring the layout.

To achieve this, the space was envisioned as three contiguous “rooms” within one. Two distinct spaces were created by joining adjacent but opposite-facing seating areas with a custom configured sectional sofa – a contemporary take on a traditional tête-à-tête – with one area oriented toward the custom home entertainment wall and the other providing a quieter lounge area with views of Madison Square Park.

A third area along the window wall features a dining room table nestled against a custom banquette that easily expands to accommodate formal occasions. All three areas are further unified along the window wall with a soffit that conceals accent lighting and motorized window shades. The continuous length of built-in cabinetry serves to anchor the space, provide additional storage and frame the stunning view.
